Hey Guys,
Are You Searching for Light in a Dark World?
Life can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and dark at times. The weight of sin, struggles, and unanswered questions can leave us feeling lost and hopeless. But there is good news: there is a Light that shines in the darkness, and that Light has a name—Jesus Christ.
This Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church, we’re diving into one of the most profound and life-changing passages in Scripture: John 1:1-5. In these verses, we encounter Jesus as the eternal Word of God who existed before time began, created all things, and now offers us life and light in the midst of our darkness.
What Is This Sermon About?
Our sermon, The Word That Brings Life, is part of our series entitled “Believe” based on John 20:30-31:
“But these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that by believing you may have life in His name.”
In John 1:1-5, we see Jesus’ divine power, His eternal nature, and His unrelenting mission to shine His light into the world. This message will help you understand who Jesus is, why He came, and how His light can overcome any darkness in your life.
Why This Sermon Matters to You
Here are some of the key truths we’ll unpack this Sunday:
Through Scripture, stories, and practical application, we’ll see how these truths change everything for those who believe.
An Invitation to Experience Life in His Name
At the heart of this message is an invitation: Will you believe in Jesus, the Word who brings life?
You were created for more than just surviving day to day. Jesus came so that you could have life—real, abundant, and eternal life. No matter how far you’ve wandered or how deep the darkness feels, His light is shining for you. He’s calling you to believe, to trust, and to step into His grace and truth.
