Good morning,
We have all heard someone say, "That's not fair. I deserved this thing or that thing." We talk a lot about "fair" when we believe we are the victim of some great injustice, but what about when we are the perpetrator of the great injustice. Do we want what is fair then, or do we want forgiveness? I think we all know the answer to that question.
23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Ro 3:23.
We cannot escape the truth that we are all sinners. We may not admit this truth We may attempt to deny this truth. But, it is the truth nonetheless. We are sinners. In other words, we are the perpetrators that have wronged our God.
23For the wages of sin is death,
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Ro 6:23a.
There is a wage for our sin. There is a penalty we have earned death. Not just physical death, but separation from God in a very real, very literal place called hell.
15And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Re 20:15.
This is what we have earned. This is what we deserve. This is what "fair" is. Anyone that stands before Holy God without Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will receive what is fair, what they deserve, what they have earned.
However, it doesn't have to be this way.
18“He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Jn 3:18.
You have a choice. You do not have to stand before Holy God without Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You do not have to live this life in defeat. Jesus Christ can be your Lord and Savior today.
23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Ro 6:23.
Jesus Christ will save you. He will be your Lord and Savior today if you will repent of your sin and confess Jesus as your Lord.
Serving Him,
Bro. Joey
