Hey Guys,
There are few things more certain in life than death. It touches every family, every person, every nation. We see it in hospital rooms and cemeteries, in world news and personal loss. It is the one enemy no one seems able to conquer.
But 2,000 years ago, outside the walls of Jerusalem, something happened that changed everything.
Jesus Christ died—and then He rose again.
Not symbolically. Not spiritually.
Bodily. Historically. Triumphantly.
And in doing so, He didn’t just cheat death—He crushed it.
This Easter Sunday, we invite you to join us for a powerful and encouraging message titled “The Death of Death,” based on 1 Corinthians 15:50–58. Together, we’ll look at the greatest victory ever declared: the resurrection of Jesus Christ and what it means for our lives today.
?️ What Is “The Death of Death”?
The phrase “The Death of Death” may sound poetic or even paradoxical, but it captures the heart of the Easter message.
In 1 Corinthians 15, the Apostle Paul writes:
“Death has been swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
– 1 Corinthians 15:54–55 (NASB)
These words are not wishful thinking—they are a triumphant shout. Paul is declaring that death, the last and greatest enemy of humanity, has been decisively defeated by Jesus Christ.
Through His resurrection, Jesus secured:
Because Jesus lives, those who trust in Him will live also.
? Why This Matters for You
Easter is not just a holiday. It’s not just about tradition, family, or springtime renewal. It is about eternal hope in a dying world.
You may be grieving. You may be afraid. You may be wondering what comes after this life.
Friend, you are not alone—and there is real hope.
The resurrection of Jesus offers:
? Join Us This Sunday
We warmly invite you to celebrate the risen Savior with us this Easter Sunday as we preach “The Death of Death.”
? Text: 1 Corinthians 15:50–58
?️ Date: April 20, 2025
? Time: 11:00 am
? New Hope Baptist Church 132 New Hope Rd. Dyer, Tn 38330
? Special music, warm fellowship, and a message of living hope await you.
Whether you’ve been in church all your life or this is your first time back in years—you are welcome here.
Come with your questions. Come with your grief. Come with your family.
But most of all—come ready to encounter the living Christ.
? Death Is Not the End
The empty tomb of Jesus Christ is more than a religious relic.
It is the declaration that death has been defeated, sin has been paid for, and eternal life is available to all who believe.
This Sunday, come discover what it means to live in light of that victory.
Jesus is alive.
Death is defeated.
And that changes everything.
We hope to see you there.

Through His resurrection, Jesus secured:
- Victory over sin — because He bore the wrath of God in our place.
- Victory over death — because He rose to life, never to die again.
- Victory for all who believe — because His resurrection guarantees our own.
Because Jesus lives, those who trust in Him will live also.

The resurrection of Jesus offers:
- Peace for your past (because your sins can be forgiven)
- Purpose for your present (because your life matters to God)
- Promise for your future (because death is not the end)
