Good morning,
I'm afraid that "Christians" are the worst procrastinators on the planet. Too many think that they will have time, one day, to "serve" God. They just don't have the time to do things for God today. The problem is you have no idea how much time you have on this earth. I have talked with numerous people that were about to pass into eternity and I have never heard one person say that they regretted serving God. I have heard many say that they regretted waiting so long to get serious about their service to God.
14Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Jas 4:14.
I think a lot of "Christians" are good at making plans. They just don't seem to be all that motivated to follow through. In their mind, tomorrow is only a day away. But, what if, tomorrow never comes? What if the time God has given you is up? What then?
You can't go back and undo/redo yesterday, but you can change what you are doing today and tomorrow. The time is now to start taking your service to God seriously. The time is now to get busy sharing the gospel with those around you. The time is now!
27And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Heb 9:27.
Serving Him,
Bro. Joey
