Hey Guys,
This past Sunday, we looked at one of the most personal and powerful encounters in the Gospel of John—a man who had suffered for 38 years, lying by the pool of Bethesda, hoping for a miracle that never seemed to come.
Then Jesus arrived.
And everything changed.
But before the healing… came the question:
“Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:6)
What Jesus Revealed
Through this passage, we were reminded of five key truths:
1. The Condition of the Man
We saw a world broken by sin and sickness—people longing for help, just like many of us today.
2. The Compassion of the Savior
Jesus knows our need, but He invites our will. Healing begins when we admit our helplessness and desire His wholeness.
3. The Controversy of the Miracle
Religious tradition often resists grace when it doesn’t come in the expected package. Jesus disrupted the comfortable with divine authority.
4. The Command to Walk in Righteousness
Jesus didn’t just say, “Rise.” He said, “Sin no more.” Healing should always lead to holiness.
5. The Conflict with the Religious
When Jesus declared God as His Father, He wasn’t just offering healing—He was revealing His identity as the Son of God.
How Do We Respond?
This story is more than history—it’s an invitation to every hurting soul. Jesus still sees. He still speaks. He still heals. And He still asks:
“Do you want to be made well?”
Maybe for you, the brokenness isn’t physical—it’s emotional, spiritual, or relational. Maybe you’ve been stuck for years, going through the motions, living in quiet despair.
There is hope in Christ.
He doesn’t just want to improve our lives—He wants to transform them completely, from the inside out. But it begins with our response.
Let’s Take It Further
Here are some ways you can continue applying this week’s message:
✅ Reflect: What areas of your life still need Christ’s healing touch?
✅ Repent: Are there sins or patterns that Jesus is calling you to leave behind?
✅ Rise: Are you walking in the power of obedience to His Word?
✅ Reach: Is there someone you know who feels forgotten, hopeless, or stuck? Invite them to hear the Gospel.

Final Word
The same Jesus who healed at Bethesda is still changing lives today. He doesn’t offer shallow fixes—He brings eternal healing. Don’t miss what He wants to do in your life.
Let’s keep walking in faith, rising in obedience, and trusting the One who makes all things new.
See you next Sunday as we continue our Believe series in the Gospel of John.
