The Mission Before Us: Why The Gospel Must Be Above All

Hey Guys,

We live in a world full of distractions. Our calendars are crowded, our minds are cluttered, and our attention is constantly being pulled in a hundred directions. But in the middle of all of life’s noise, Jesus gently — yet urgently — calls us to lift up our eyes.

In John 4:31–38, the disciples were focused on lunch. Jesus was focused on the lost. While they were urging Him to eat, He was urging them to look — to see the spiritual harvest all around them. He said, "Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest."

This Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church, we’ll explore what it means to live with gospel vision.
  • What does it mean to see the world the way Jesus sees it?
  • What does it look like to live with eternal urgency instead of earthly distraction?
  • And how do we labor together for the sake of souls — rejoicing in both sowing and reaping?

The truth is: there is a mission before us.
And it’s not optional.
The gospel must be above all — above our comfort, our schedules, our preferences, even our fears. The fields are ready. The time is now. Will we go?

I invite you to join us this Sunday as we open God’s Word and seek His heart. Whether you’ve been walking with Jesus for decades or are just beginning to explore faith, this message will challenge and encourage you to live for what truly matters.
