Good morning,
"Love" might be one of the most overused words in the English language. We use the word "love" to quantify everything. "I love fried chicken". "I love apple pie". "I love baseball". We have devalued the word "love". We say it so often that it has lost some meaning in our minds.
God did more than say He loved us. God demonstrated that He loved us.
8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Ro 5:8.
16“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation, 1995), Jn 3:16.
What a demonstration of love!
Do you love anyone enough to die for them? I'm sure we have someone in our life we would die for, but those people that we would be willing to die for love us too. God sent His Son to die for us when we did not love Him. Let that sink in. That is the depth of the love that God has for us. We owe Him everything, not just our leftovers.
Serving Him,
Bro. Joey
