Hey Guys,
Have you ever obeyed God without having all the answers—just holding onto His Word?
That’s exactly what we saw in Sunday’s message “When Faith Hears and Obeys,” part of our ongoing series Believe: A Study of John. We explored John 4:39–54 and the story of a royal official who found himself at a crossroads of desperation, decision, and divine transformation.
He came to Jesus seeking healing for his dying son. But instead of coming with Jesus to his home, Jesus simply gave him a command:
“Go; your son lives.”
No sign. No confirmation. Just a Word.
And the man believed—and obeyed.
? Faith That Walks
This man’s story teaches us a deep truth: Faith isn’t proven in what we say—it’s proven in how we walk.
He didn’t wait for evidence. He walked a 20-mile journey home with nothing but trust in Jesus' promise. And when he arrived, he discovered something amazing: the healing came the moment Jesus spoke. Obedience wasn’t just a requirement—it was a response to divine power already at work.
? Faith That Multiplies
And the miracle didn’t stop at the son’s healing. Scripture tells us:
“...he himself believed, and his whole household.” (John 4:53 NASB)
One man’s faith opened the door for an entire family to encounter Jesus.
That’s what obedient faith does—it blesses beyond the immediate need. It shapes legacies. It transforms lives.
? Reflect and Respond
If you joined us this Sunday, I hope you left challenged by three key truths:
Maybe this week, God is calling you to “go” in faith—just like the official.
To walk in obedience. To trust Him for something you can’t yet see.
Don’t wait for a sign. Believe His Word and take the next step.
? Missed the Message?
If you weren’t able to join us this past Sunday, I encourage you to listen or watch the message online. It could be exactly what your heart needs right now.

If you joined us this Sunday, I hope you left challenged by three key truths:
- Faith Responds to the Word of Christ – Will you act when Jesus speaks?
- Faith Relies on the Authority of Christ – Is your confidence in His power or your plan?
- Faith Results in the Power of Christ – Are you ready to walk by faith and see what God can do?

- What step is God asking me to take in faith—based solely on His Word?
- Who in my life might be impacted by my obedience to Jesus?
